Kids deserve safe schools.
We all believe this and we collectively mourn the loss of innocent life in Uvalde, TX as well as from every other mass school shooting in our history. And yet, things only seem to be getting worse. It's time to cut the politics and rhetoric and have a common sense moment on the American crisis of gun violence in schools.
Dr. Charles Cole, III guides us through a common sense approach to dealing with the ubiquitous school shootings in our nation. With gun-related deaths now the leading cause of youth mortality, we need to take a step back and figure out how we do better for our kids.
Dr. Cole touches the need for social and emotional supports in our schools and addresses why bringing more guns into schools and arming teachers IS NOT the answer.
