Carrie Peirce is the Executive Producer of Fox45 News Project Baltimore, a team of journalists dedicated to a long-term investigation into Maryland’s public education system. She is a national award-winning writer and producer. Her investigative work has been recognized with some of the highest journalism honors in the country, including national awards from Investigative Reporters and Editors, National Press Photographers Association, Society of Professional Journalists, National Headliner Awards, and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Carrie has earned 22 regional Emmys, and multiple Edward R. Murrow, Associated Press, and various State Broadcasters Association awards. Carrie graduated from the University of Maryland Philip Merrill College of Journalism. She began her career as a newspaper reporter in Baltimore City in 2007, covering criminal justice. She went on to become a producer at WBFF-TV, where she wrote hundreds of evening newscasts and covered breaking news from the control room and in the field. During her time at WBFF, Carrie was responsible for launching two news programs, including Fox45 News at 4:00. She began Project Baltimore in 2017, helping to create a specialized team of investigative journalists dedicated to a single topic.
